World We Imagine- 1

"Today we are redefining the geography of community and accepting shared accountability for common human values. We have the chance to extend the notion that all men are created equal to every human being on the planet. This will require global structures and products we are only beginning to imagine.... Each of us in his or her own way can contribute something by thinking -- and acting -- like a true global citizen. We have only one world for all of us on earth, and the future really is ours to create, in a world we dare to imagine together." After reading this post, and reading a bit from the Blue Sweater, I started to think with myself, what are my steps in order to make the world a better place, like Jacqueline Novogratz is trying to do. The term “better place” might have a lot of different meanings but I wanted to focus on the equality and common human values among our community. My first step in making the world a better place, is by taking part every summer in a progra...

Random Post- Olympics

For this random post, I knew immediately what I am going to write and share my opinions about. This topic is the Olympics. The Olympics were planned to begin on July 24, 2020 until August 9, 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), announced that the games would be postponed to the next summer. After a lot of doubts and concerns whether the games will actually take place, the Tokyo Olympics will take place between July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021. I would like to share my divided opinions with you about this event. The Olympics is a huge and special event, were after all the hard work the athletes have been putting towards achieving their own goals, now they have the chance to represent their country, and get a medal. Despite the importance and uniqueness of the Olympics, I think that bringing thousands of athletes, coaches, trainers and support personnel from different countries, during a pandemic, into one country where only 23.3% ...

Book 2- Post 2

During the book, the author Morris continue to provide her imaginary storytelling of her visit in the city name of Hav. Part one of the book is a month to month explanation of Morris’s visit in Hav in 1985, while the second part is a day by day during her six days visit in 2005. Morris mentions on her return to Hav twenty years later after an event called the Intervention: “I found it astonishingly resuscitated, different in character, certainly, from the city I had known, but hardly less allegorical of feel.”  Morris shares her impressions upon her arrival to Hav which is completely different from the previous visit. She meets many people and visit wonderful places. The first people that she interacts with are “very English middle-aged couple” that advised her not to experiment too much with the local stuff, which seems to remind Morris how things have changed, but also how much stayed the same. A memorable visit that Morris mentioned and I liked, was her visit in at the Myrmidon ...

Book 2- post 1

Hav- Jan Morris While looking at the book’s list to choose from, I came to a conclusion that Hav by Jan Morris will be the second book that I would like to read. To be honest, there is not any specific reason for choosing this book despite the fact that I did not know what or where Hav is, and it was something that fascinated me to explore more. It took me a while to understand even the introduction of this book, since I couldn’t understand if Hav is a real place, or a fictional place made by the author.  As Morris stated in her book: “It is not an easy book to describe. Hav itself is not easy to describe…”. Indeed, it was not easy for me to understand. After reading the introduction a few times, I realized that Hav is in fact science fiction, and exists as a mirror held up to several millennia of pan-Mediterranean history, customs, and politics. Hav is an example of an alternate geography to a place that does not exists in the atlas or the histories, but gives us exuberantly reali...

Investment Proposal- Beyond Meat

Image
TO:                Clark Hansen, CEO of Anima Mundi Development Partners FROM:          Mor Bulis, Research and Development Member  DATE:           July 8, 2021 SUBJECT:     Beyond Meat Sustainability As a member of the research and development team at AMDP, I have found that Beyond Meat would be a good company for AMDP to consider for investment and funding, given its focus on sustainability and socially responsible action in business. Additionally I will argue that Beyond Meat will need to continue improving and proving their commitment to sustainability. The current covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on many companies and should be taken into consideration when looking at the company’s revenue.  Standards of AMDP There are several standards that we feel are valuable and these standards must be met for a company to be considered for funding from us. These standards i...
